Hey! My name is Morgan Paulson. She/Her. I’m playing the 90’s chic, giggly, wannabe grandma type, um.. person. and.. uh, yeah! This is my first time in this show… Life.

Texas is one of those one-of-a-kind lands, and, well, that land is home for me. For better or for worse, I am a true Austinite! So if my y’alls ever get out of hand, just know - it comes from my soul. I felt like Texas was just a little too small for me, so in the summer of 2025, I adopted my official Brooklynite status.

As we speak, I’m probably mid 50 minuet commute, or in the middle of crafting up some exquisite NYC coffee for the patrons of Tribeca.

My first love is and will always be music. I’m consuming music at all times, and of all kinds. I've always got a pair of dinky head phones on. I’m skipping through crowds of stressed focused FiDi workers, but all I hear is a blend of Jack Johnson and Ski Aggu. Look, If you’re a Spotify user, let’s start a playlist. If you’re a concert go’er, I need some recks. If you make music - I will stream that shit. Music is a darn good drug AND … it’s so good for us too.

If you want a poem or sonnet, I've always got a moleskin and pen on me. But please refrain from spelling critiques. I’d throw down and quick bar for you though - no problem.

I’m a bigg Pieces - but if you're not into that - I’m the Enneagram 4. So both could kinda explain the sonnets and songs vibe. All in all, I’m trying my best to be grounded the clouds kinda rock.

I started Musical Theatre during the most iconic times of my generation, and you guessed it babe, … not 2016… but Covid. Still, I wouldn’t have it any other way. Life has its way of moving us around in its own time, and I’m having lots of fun with the journey.

If I could make any mission statement, I think It would be; To vomit out all the love, light, and passion that aches in my little mortal soul through amazing stories- in hopes that; in the safety of a theatre or any venue for that matter, we can collectively remember that having feelings is so weird and we get to be in that together. I love y’all.

A man with silver hair and red shorts lifts a woman in striped shirt and yellow shorts above his head on stage; other performers in various costumes stand nearby, with stage lights overhead.

Rocky Horror Picture Show - Senior Direction

Theater scene with actors in 18th-century costumes on a multi-level platform with drapes, smiling and posing dramatically.

Directing Rocky Horror sparked a new love for direction and collaboration. The ability to convey beautiful stage pictures and cultivate incredible chaotic vibes, made this an absolute passion project. Shoutout to my amazing peers for their talents, work, and respect for the art that is Rocky!

A Christmas Carol

A Christmas Carol at ZACH Theatre is an Austin TX staple. It’s a wonderful rendition of the classic Charles Dickens story, but with a Jukebox musical spin. This show is filled with pop songs from Miley Cyrus to Lionel Richey making the Christmas spectacle just as magical as the holidays.

Upstage Theatre

Cover of the musical '9 to 5' featuring three women smiling and holding a telephone, with a man hanging upside down below them, set against a light blue background.

Playing the wonderful Doralee Rhodes in UCO’s production of 9 to 5 was a special college send off. To replicate the beloved Dolly Parton was an amazing challenge, and to be surrounded by amazing women to tell women’s story’s continues to remind me of the impact theatre should make . And who doesn't love a little Dolly Parton?
